MSP430G2553: Differences among the variants

Hi,

I am trying to buy an MSP430G2553, but I see a lot of variants such as MSP430G2553IPW20R, MSP430G2553IPW28R, MSP430G2553IPW20 etc. Can someone please explain me the differences between them?

    Data Sheet (SLAS735J) Table 1 lists the package variants. IPW means "TSSOP" and 20/28 is the number of pins. These are relevant to the "Device Pinout" diagrams on page 3.

    The "R": refers to "Reel", which is one form for (large) lots delivered to distributors. It usually isn't interesting to small purchasers. (See also "Package Materials Information" on (PDF) p. 64 ff.)
