MSP430FR2355: LaunchPad MSP430FR2355 is not loading the code in the IAR IDE

Part Number: MSP430FR2355

I created a C code in the IDE IAR (version 7.12) and trying to load the code for the LaunchPad MSP430FR2355 Kit I could not. There was a message saying that my device was not found or that it is not supported. All USB drivers are already installed and last version IAR is already installed, version that has support for the MSP430FR2355.

  • Hi Damaris

    1. When you plug in the USB, have you see eZ-FET tools enumerate as CDC "MSP Debug Interface" and CDC "MSP Application UART1" devices in the Windows Device Manager? Like this

    2. if the driver is not automatically detected, the "Found New Hardware wizard" starts. Follow the instructions and point the wizard to the driver files(Check if you have those files).

The default location for CCS is: c:\ti\ccsv6\ccs_base\emulation\drivers\msp430\USB_CDC.

The default location for IAR Embedded Workbench is: \Embedded Workbench x.x\430\drivers\<win_os>.

    3. if you have those files, could you change other USB port and other PC to check if your LaunchPad is good.

For more information you can refer to this document:
