MSP430G2553: design schematics for MSP430G2553 which based on MSP430G2 launchpad

Hi guys

I bought a MSP430G2 Launchpad one mouth ago and now I am working on designing the schematics of MSP430G2553.  I download the "MSP-EXP430G2 LaunchPad Evaluation Kit User's Guide" from ti.com.

I followed the schematic of Revision 1.5 and then I found two questions:

1. How emulator communicate with MSP-EXP430G2 such as programming or debug?   ------ by TXD, RXD on J3??  

2. If I want to measure the power consumption of MSP430G2553, I need remove all jumper on J3 and then power VCC on J6, also for more accurate current value , I remove the R34  as well or set p1.3 as input?
