MSP432E401Y: Using both Ethernet and USB

Part Number: MSP432E401Y

Hi,

I am currently starting the design of a board using MSP432E401Y and we want to use both Ethernet and USB.

As far as I understand the clock tree of the MSP432 I think it is not possible with the following constraints extracted from the datasheet:

  1. To use Ethernet, MSOSC shall be 25MHz
  2. For USB to work as expected, USBCLK shall be 60MHz
  3. PSYSDIV shall be 2
  4. SYSCLK shall be 240MHz or less

With (3) and (4) Fvco shall be 240MHz or less so.

With a Fvco lower than 240MHz there is no common multiple between 25 and 60MHz.

Can you confirm I am right?

Or did I made a mistake reading the datasheet and went in some kind of over constraints.

Best regards,

Frederic
