Hi E2E,

Good day!

I am posting on behalf of one of our customer. He is having issue programming the MSP430FR5969 microcontroller.
Below are his exact statement:

"I have a TI MSP-Fet flash emulation tool that I am trying to use to program an MSP430FR5969 microcontroller using MSP430Flasher. The serial number is 180500899. The MSP430Flasher version is 1.3.4. when I try to program my part using the command 'MSP430Flasher.exe -w "Bootloader_CRC.txt" -v -g -z [VCC] -e ERASE_MAIN' the console indicated a successful connection to the USB FET but it exits with a value of 44 and indicated "ERROR: Could not set device Vcc". I have repeated this with a different MSP-FET with correct results. I have seen several issues similar to this in your customer support center but have not found a working solution."

Hello,

What's the power supply? Supplied by external power?

Could customer program the device using CCS?

My boards are powered with +3.3 Volts from a regulator on the board. The VCC_TARGET pin on the MSP-FET flash emulator is connected to this +3.3V and the VCC_TOOL pin is left unconnected. This connection programs correctly with an MSP-FET with a serial number starting with 14.

The MSP-FET and MSP430Flasher will be used in a fully automated PCBA test fixture. The test fixture will run this command line:

MSP430Flasher.exe -w "Bootloader_CRC.txt" -v -g -z [VCC] -e ERASE_MAIN

CCS is not an option.
