MSP432P401M: Reset signal

Genius 5900 points

Part Number: MSP432P401M

HI,

When using an external reset, there are two questions regarding the input signal.

①When a signal as shown in Fig. 1 is input, is there a specified value for the rise time of the input voltage?
Example: You need to input a voltage faster than "1 V / s".

② After rising to 2V for a moment, it has risen from 0V to 3V again, is there any problem?

If there is a problem, is there an acceptable voltage at the input voltage?

Best regards,

O.H

  • Hello,

Which board are you using for your tests - LaunchPad or custom board?

    Thanks,

    Sai

  • Hello,

There is no rise time or fall time requirement for the reset pin RSTn.  Per table 5-23 of the datasheet please ensure that the pulse duration for the reset pin is at least 1us to be considered a change in state.

In your second scenario if the time that the reset line is considered high is greater than 1us that it is possible the device would ignore the drop back to zero is the pulse width was less than 1us.

    Regards,

    Chris

  • Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I'm using custom board.

  • Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I understood the RSTn pin.

Is there a rise time or fall time requirement for the supply voltage input to Vcc?

    Best regards,

    O.H

  • Hi,

The question above is different from the subject of this thread, so should I post to a new thread?

    Regards,

    O.H

  • Please refer the device's Datasheet  for more details on these questions. You can always post a new thread if the required information is missing.

    Thanks,

    Sai
