MSP430FR2676: Search for a Configuration or Source code to use a touch panel in the outside with water

Part Number: MSP430FR2676

Hello,

my usecase would be in the outside.

Was there any similar case in the past to handle the problem to detect or prevent the false touch detection triggered by water?

Every code or configuration tips are welcome.

Best regards,

Jonathan F.

  • Hallo Jonathan,

thanks for your interest in our technology. The application you are interested is very good  but challenging.

We do have documentation related to the moisture detection and block the system to avoid any activity and also designs to prevent false triggers caused by water.

If you are new to the technology please have first a tour to get the basics of the technology.

The performance and the implementations depends very much of a number of parameters like dimensions , electrode size, thickness of the overlay etc. which have to be considered.

We do have a lot of material available in our web page related to the technology

    and also

More specific to moisture please check our reference design

You see there is a lot of material available. Please check if the information is relevant for your application and let us know if you have further questions.

    Regards

    Kostas
