Hello All,

I want to use internal Reference of 2.5 V for ADC_12B Module of MSP430Fr5969...

I have following Queries:

1) Stability of the Reference of 2.5 V over temperature range

2) Current Consumption of Internal Reference Generator

3) Does connecting external Reference Generator consume more power than the internal Reference

Aalekh,

1. The Vref+ typical value and max is shown in 5-32 of the datasheet. We don't provide this spec over the full temperature range.

2. Iref+ is shown in 5-32 as well.

3. From a system level, this really depends on the current consumption of the external reference device you are using. Using an external reference will not draw any more current in the MSP430, but the external reference device you use will have some consumption, typically referred as quiescent current.

Hello Eddie,

Can you explain what is Buffered Reference used in case of ADC?

I have found this in ADC Reference selection in driverlib source code.

Can you provided current consumption details if possible..

See section 34.2.3 of the users guide below for the details on voltage reference with the ADC. The current consumption and test conditions are shown in 5-32 of the datasheet.
