MSP430FR5xx,FR6xx:About breakdown of DCO accuracy

Hi community member,

My customer asks me about the DCO accuracy of MSP430FR5xx, 6xx.
Please confirm.

The datasheet describes the frequency and its accuracy (± 3.5%) for DCORSEL and DCOFSEL values.
In addition, it's also discribed "DCO jitter" and "DCO temperature drift".

Does the accuracy of ± 3.5% include these drifts?

The following refers to the MSP430FR687x datasheet.

Hello Cruijiff,

Yes, these are included. Above the table, it's specified that this is over recommend voltage and temp ranges. This means these factors have been taken into account for this MAX spec.

There may be some jitter from edge to edge, but the overall frequency will stay within spec.
