Hello, we have done software development using the MSP-EXP432_4111 LaunchPad. But now we are ready and want to convert this to our own board which is equiped with a MSP432P4011IRGC(64-pin). The question now is how to select this 64 pin package? We looked at the "DeviceFamily_XYZ" but could not determine what to do?

Or do we need to modify existing files?

Hi Laurent,

So just to clarify, you want to take the software you wrote for the MSP432P4111 and use it on your own board (MSP432P4011)?

If so, the code should be reusable. You will just have to rebuild the project with the board-specific files for the MSP432P4011, which you can find in the SDK. You will also need to go to the project properties and update the Device Variant and Linker Command File.

Keep in mind you may have to change some of the pins you're using depending on which pins and peripherals you've chosen.

Hi Alexis,

yes, I already understood that I should look for thos files in the SDK. In this case "SimpleLink_SDK_3_20_00_06"(source/ti/boards/...?). However, they are not there!

Hi Laurent,

Sorry I misinformed you. We don't provide board files for the MSP432P4011. You will have to create them yourself.

Hi, we did by using "Pinmux" and choosing the "MSP432P4111" and select 64-oin package, since the "MSP432P4011" is not in the list. There is a little error there since pins 60+ cannot be assigned. But we added that later.
