MSP-GANG430: Using script as standalone feature?

I read section 2.2...... It doesn't mention anything about running a script, just says that the start (Go?) button on the programmer works the same as the start button on the GUI. I wrote a script that only uses the start button. I just want to know if there is a way to load this into the programmer so I can press start and have it run?

That section is indeed the correct section, but not in the document you linked to earlier. Either way, the question was not how to run a script, I stated in the question I could run the script fine. It was whether it can be used as a standalone thing or not. 

Section 2.1.3 just tells you how to write the script. I have one working, but what I want to do is have the script loaded in to the programmer so I can use it standalone. Is that possible? That is the question that was asked.

I don't think you can use the script in standalone mode, in standalone mode you can only load the image to the device by pressing the GO button and script mode is more for complex procedures.

That's a shame. As to start the script, you press the 'Go' button on the computer program, which has the same function as pressing the 'Go' button on the unit(?). So it's disappointing you can't use that button to run a script in standalone mode.

I doubt that two 'Go' buttons are identical. I guess that script is parsed / processed at PC side and than sent to MSP-GANG430 as combination of more simple command sequence. I agree with you that standalone device should be powerful equally to used with PC interface.

My wording wasn't the best. I didn't mean it is identical, I meant when programming, it has the same function. You press the 'GO' button on the program and it'll program the target, same as the GO button does on the standalone unit. So it makes sense that pressing 'GO' to start the script should be able to work standalone. So they share a function in that respect is what I meant

Based on the feedback from tools team. It is possible. Just before creating script to standalone, user should create configuration they need (in memory option – update only) and then create the script for standalone. Then use standalone.

That is great to hear. Is there a PDF or any documentation detailing the steps on how to do this? And by update, is this to the PC software and GANG firmware?
