MSP430FR2512: Capacitive Touch Design Question

My customer wonders how small PCB area msp430 capacitive touch solution can achieve to detect human hands from 5cm away? Do we have any formula to calculate PCB design vs. detection distance?

Hi Andre,

Good question. I would suggest the customer look at the CapTIvate Design Center Guide, proximity section, There are tables of data collected for various configuration of PCBs. Let me know if that does not answer their question.
