EVM430-FR6047: EVM430-FR6047

Part Number: EVM430-FR6047
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01486

Hi, we are trying to connect the TIDA-01486 TO THE EVM430FR6047. We are a littlebit confused about the connectors we suspect should be connected to each other with a flat cable?

EVM CH0 OUT would then be connected to GND?

Please advise.

regards,

Laurent

  • Hello Laurent,

the bitter truth is that the original '6047EVM was meant to be used for a single transducer pair only It had no provision for splitting input and outputs.

To use it together with the TIDA-01486 you would need to touch a drill and a soldering iron. I can take a photo of my EVM-extension if you would like to know how I did it on my '6047 EVM (mechanically).

  • Hello again Laurent,

I talked to the engineer that wrote the TIDA-01486. He confirmed that the '6047 EVM would need to be re-wired for the connection to the extension board. Therefore no new news to the previous answer. Therefore I am going to close this thread.

    Have a good day

  • Hello Johann,

thanks for your reply. We would very much appreciate that. We have some time and the experience to do both mechanicel and electronics jobs.

    kind regards,

  • Hi Johann,

for your information we are combining both pcb's from 6047-evm and TIDA-01486 into one board, leaving out from the 6047-evm anything we don't use, like the LCD. Also the PC interface will partly be abandoned. It will remain a development board as well as a (possible)base for future pcb production design.

    kind regards,

    Laurent
