MSP430F5659: Max. Current consumption

Part Number: MSP430F5659

Hi,

I need to know the max current consumption of the microcontroller (With all possible blocks enabled at a time, XT2IN at high frequency). I have tried calculating the max. current by adding the current consumption, block by block. Unable to find the max current rating for some block. For eg, If I use a pin as GPIO, what is the value of pull up or pull down resistor value internal to the chip. Adding the table with which I was calculating the currents. Kindly advice.

  • Hi Radhakrishnan,

    Thanks for using MSP430 device.

You could go through the Chapter 5 Specifications of the device datasheet for the power consumption of each module with specific operating mode. The data/parameters in the datasheet are all we have and could publish to users.

For your specific question about the GPIO, you can find the data in section 5.8
