Hello,

I'm attempting to try this demo: MIFARE DESFire EV1 AES Authentication With TRF7970A

The issue is that I have a MSP-EXP430F5529LP LaunchPad and not the older one described in the application report (MSP430G2553).

Is there any existing Firmware that I could use to make this work for the MSP-EXP430F5529LP? If not, what exactly do I need to change in order

for this to compile properly for the MSP-EXP430F5529LP?

I'm using Code Composer Studio (Version: 9.1.0.00010).

Hi Wilmer,

I checked the following Application report, mainly describes how to use MSP430G2553 to connect to DLP-7970ABP. The code example target board we provide is MSP430G2553, which only use SPI, UART, general I/O port resources. If you want use the MSP430F5529 replace MSP430G2553, you need to check the connection between the MCU and the DLP-7970, at the same time modify the program to adapt to F5529, mainly modify the initialization configuration program of SPI, UART, UCS, I / O and other modules

Thank you for your response.

I've managed to reconfigure everything that needs updating to work for the newer board (the MSP430F5529LP). I've come across another issue, though.

I've run into an incompatible object file error for the AES_Encryption library (AES_Encryption.lib). I know that the sourcecode is not publicly available for this library. Is there anyway around getting this work on the MSP430?

Hi Wilmer,

I checked the following lib library file(AES_Encryption.lib), it should be for any MCU. In the F5529 project, it should be available.

Could you provide some details about this error you encountered?

Or could you provide the modified project?

Apologies; I have managed to get a version of the library that works for the Dev. board I have from: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/other-wireless/f/667/p/843324/3123716#3123716.

I have managed to properly authenticate, write, & read from MIFARE DESFire EV1 cards. I'm working on communicating with EV2 cards now.
