CCS/MSP430F5529: MSP430F5529 Embedded with Secure boot

Hello.

I'm starting to design an embedded system, MSP430F5529-based, and I'd like some advice in how can I implement a secure system with secure boot:

- Code authentication during firmware update

- Code authentication during Bootload

is it possible? Where could I get more information on this?

Hello Pedro,

We have various security features embedded into our MCUs because security is a big part of our product line's focus. You can refer to the Understanding security features for MSP430™ Microcontrollers application report for more information.

Code authentication and application validation are addressed in the MSPBoot – Main Memory Bootloader for MSP430™ Flash Microcontrollers application report in section 2.2.1.2.

You can also refer to the Bootloader Landing Page as a starting point for learning all about BSL on an MSP430 MCU.
