CCS/MSP430F5529: Using device to make dc step motor 28byj-48 move

Part Number: MSP430F5529
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ENERGIA

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I want to figure out how to use code composer studio to make a DC step motor turn to different angles. This DC step motor is usually used with arduino ide and I was able to get it to move just fine using that. However I'm very new to code composer studio and am not sure how to develop the code needed to make the motor move. I set the pins connected to the motors as outputs so far but I am not sure what initial code I need as well as the code I need to actually make the motor move. I would really appreciate a walk through of how I could do this through code composer studio as well as maybe an explanation as to why certain things are done in the code. Thank you very much
