MSP430FR2110: Confusing datasheet, need this part as capacitive touch interface

Part Number: MSP430FR2110

Hi Forum,

This part has 8 P1 and 4 P2 I/O pins. At the top of the datasheet it says 4 P1 pins and 4 P2 pins have interrupt status.

In the fine print under the I/O section of the datasheet, it says that these pins have "edge interrupt:" status, for interrupts below LPM3.

Slightly above that it says that ALL I/O pins have general interrupt status, at least it kind of says that.

So what is it? I want to use LPM3 and 8 of these pins for capacitive touch inputs WITH general interrupt status.

If you know the answer, please let me know!

Thank you for your time,

Robert.

  • Hi Robert,

There should be only 4 pins of Port1 feature the interrupt function, which you could find the said pins in Table 6-2 of the device datasheet. You can find the that the P1.0-1.3 have the P1IFG.x supporting the interrupt function.

Sorry for confusing you about information of the 6.11.15 Input/Output Diagrams. I will feedback to team for updating this for next revision.
