MSP430FR6989: Use Back Channel UART UCA0 for communication on launchpad

Hi

I am currently using the back channel UART USCI_A1 on P.3.4 and P3.5 for terminal output. I want to connect this port to another sensor and read output. I am unable to locate the P3.4 and P3.5 pins on the MSP430FR6989 Launchpad. I also did not find any other alternate pins for USCI_A1. I am already using USCI_A0 port on pins P4.2 and P4.3 for GPRS. I need to use both UARTs on the board Please help.

    Pull the jumpers off the RXD and TXD pins on the "bridge" header (J101), and connect your wires to the MCU-side pins.

    Hello Vijay,

    Bruce is right, P3.4 and P3.5 are only wired out to J101 for back channel UART and you can remove the jumpers on the RXD and TXD pins of header (J101), and connect your wires to the MCU-side pins.

    There are two alternative pins for USCI_A1 UART which are P5.4 and P5.5 but they are used for the LCD display on the launchpad.
