MSP432E401Y: How can i erase the flash?

Hello,

For updating a firmware image how exactly would this work in the field, if iam using ethernet as the updaters transport layer.I have a launchpad for a MSP432E401Y and iam following the first link below but when i get to Task4. Instruction 1 using ethernet it assumes that the MCU's flash is erased.The only way the BSL scripter can erase memory is through the USB DFU Comm. per Table.1 page 5 in the second link what exactly are my options here to be able to update the firmware 100% using ethernet?

Hi Alexis and Bruce,

Thanks for those links so i want to make sure iam understanding this correctly,it seems i should always call ROM_UpdateEmac() or atleast call the ethernet updater through my app since i cant erase the memory to trigger a update?

Second question looking at the link below i followed CheckForceUpdate() in bl_check.c which gets called in bl_startup_ccs.s and it has 2 conditions either flash erased or i can use the BL_CHECK_UPDATE_FN_HOOK() to initiate a update.So i would just have to define BL_CHECK_UPDATE_FN_HOOK() and put some logic checking if i need to update?Thanks again
