Hello,

after a number of reprogramming on the same proto board now my MSP-FET can't work anymore and the message is

Error initializing emulator:
Interface Communication error

I tried also to program other board but nothing change.

Is it available any report information to understand if the problem is on the MSP-FET device? something is bourn out in the interface? is the device protected?

Hello Allessandro,

The "Error initializing emulator" error would seem to point us in the direction of the communication between the PC and the programmer.

Please let me know if any of the questions and solutions outlined in the linked threads apply to your setup and if any of them help you to solve your issue.

Hello Matt,

thank you for your reply.

I will check about your suggestions.

As an additional information:

1. I checked on other USB port. The error was still present.

2. I checked also with another MSP430-FET and a new pcb. The error was still present.

3. Then I restart the PC and then it was working right (as another user wrote on the first post you suggest to me).

Now seems solved.
