CCS/MSP430FR2110: UART RXD is located on a non-interrupt pin12(P1.6), when set as UART RXD, will there BE an RXD interrupt?

Part Number: MSP430FR2110

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

HI Forum,

Happy Holidays to all !!

This is one of those parts in the design where no matter which way you turn, it never works.

The part number now is MSP430FR2110. There are only 8 interrupt able pins on this device, P1.0 thru P1.3, and  P2.0,  P2.1, 2.6, and 2.7. This is the 16 pin TSSOP package.

UART RXD, the only one I can use, is located on Pin12, which is P1.6, a non-interrupt pin. If the internal wiring for the interrupt has been bypassed (marketing!), will there even BE an RXD interrupt?

I hope the answer is a magic interrupt, please let me know, and Thank You in advance.

Robert.
