MSP432P401R: VCORE and VSW

Hi,

My customer is evaluating MSP432P40R and built their own board.
They have JTAG connection issue on their board and found Xtal for 32.768KHz and 24MHz are not working.

We checked the schematics and found VCORE and VSW are NC on their board.
I think an external capacitor is needed at least for LDO only mode.

What happens if VCORE and VSW are NC?
It is expected external oscillators do not work?

Koichiro,

VSW is for connecting an inductor when using the included DCDC converter instead of the internal LDO. The DCDC converter can be more efficient. If not used, leave the pin unconnected, but don't try to enable the DCDC converter in software since it will cause a POR.

A cap is required on the VCORE pin for the device to function properly. More info can be found in the MSP432 TRM. Ensure that the value of the cap on the DVCC pin is higher.
