MSP430FR2000: Pin-condition on All Reset.

Hi,

According to datasheet, we can find the following sentence.

"Configuration of digital I/Os after BOR reset" : To prevent any cross currents during start-up of the device, all port pins are high-impedance
with Schmitt triggers and module functions disabled.

On Power cycle-reset, All pin is high-impedance. Is it correct? please let me know.

Hi,

yes, with all MSP430 devices on POR the IOs are switched to input direction, means high impedance.

Though in terms of current consumption, please keep in mind, if the IOs are not terminated by external HW, e.g. pull-ups or - downs, every IO is a floating node, and thus can generate MSP430 internal currents of up to ~200µA.
