MSP432P401R: Replacement for the launchpad.

Part Number: MSP432P401R

I tried to replace the launchpad for my MSP432P401R so I order some at Mouser. Unfortunately, the launchpads that I got are not 100% compatible with the initial launchpad MSP432P401R that I initially got with my robot TI-RSLK-MAX (J5 and another bank on the JTAG section are not populated and so, fail to connect with the robot chassis). The robot is OK, it is just the launchpad which seems to have entered into an autistic state, so it is just the launchpad which need to be replaced.

It there a different part ID that I should use to obtain a launchpad identical to the one which come with the robot? (instead of the ... standard ? ... one)

  • Hello Michel,

The TI-RSLK MAX kit comes with a " modified MSP432P401R LaunchPad", the changes are documented in the user guide available on ti.com/rslk.

If you are purchasing the MSP432P401R launchPad as a stand-alone, you will need to modify this board which involves soldering the headers.

Please review the video called " Construction guide video series" available on ri.com/rslk. The video series contains video on how to prepare your launchPad to work with RSLK. MAX robot kit. The video is called " LaunchPad preparation" in that series. Please also make sure you review the jumper configurations for correct operation of the robot.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks, Ayesha
