1.2MPa is 12Atmospheres of pressure . That's a lot... most utility gas maters operate about 25..50mBar above atmospheric pressure (~1000mBar).
Your application is probably not main stream.
Talk to https://www.piceramic.com/en/ or other companies addressing physical or industrial applications.
In utility meters for gas a pressure drop across the meter of ~2-10mBar is used to avoid adiabatic effects.
Q: what pressure drop did you calculate across the meter ?
The impedance adaptation layer (damping) would need to be tailored to your gas mixture/pressure...
