Hello,

Iam using A LAUNCHPAD and TI-RTOS and setting the clock frequency in the cfg file in the boot section iam trying to read a UART signal on my oscillscope that can at max read signals up to 10Mhz.So my idea is to put the uC clock down into 5mhz so my oscillscope can read the signal.Would this be the correct way to change the clock frequency?Thanks

Hi Dick,

Are you trying to capture the system clock frequency or capture the UART signal? Your system clock frequency can be higher than 10 MHz but if your baud rate settings are 115200 baud for example, your oscilloscope will capture the UART signal.

Hi James,

Iam trying to capture only a UART signal my baud rate settings would be 250000.

Hi Dick,

If your oscilloscope measures up to 10 MHz, it should have no problem capturing the 250 kBaudrate UART data.
