Hi Faramarz,

The first thing comes into my mind is that seems you don't get the correct driver at you PC side. Do you ever check if you have a correct driver installed?

1) Do you not expect for the "out-of-box" experience to work even without a driver? That's what the user guide for launchpad says.

When I connect to USB, it does not add any new MSC, HID or Mass Storage device.

DO I need to do anything special to see the device on my PC?

2) TO answer your question about driver: I have even installed "CCS" on my computer. Does it not automatically install all the drivers at the proper location?

What folders I should inspect to make sure drivers are properly installed?

Is there any phone number I could call to get technical support?

If so, what is your working hours?

I use CCS to identify my MSP launchpad, as you can see from the 2 screen shots below, it responds as shown in the pictures.

Please also see the 3rd attachment which is a picture of the board while connected to USB port.

Let me try to get back to your issue. You probably met two issues:

1. Out-of-box demo doesn't work for you.

2. You could not update the program via the current setup.

I assume there is slight odds that for the first issue, the out-of-box demo is flushed, or not program well for your LaunchPad. So let's firstly look into the second issue and try to re-program the out-of-box demo.

From the snapshot you provided, seems you don't have the proper driver for the on-board ez-fet lite, since there is not a proper item in the "Ports" catagory. Could you please try to install this http://software-dl.ti.com/msp430/msp430_public_sw/mcu/msp430/MSP430_FET_Drivers/latest/index_FDS.html to give another try firstly?

After correctly install the driver, you should be able to see something below:

And then you could try to re-program the out-of-box demo, and let me know if any further questions you met.

For the technical support, not sure if you could get connect with your account sales representative person. If there is not a sales team/person serves your account/company, I assume this forum is the most efficient way for all the trouble shooting.
