MSP432P401M: Silicon revision of MSP432 on attached picture?

Part Number: MSP432P401M

Team,

What is the silicon revision of the MSP432 on this picture? Looking at the description in the errata, I'd expect an additional letter after the '...9VW'.

Thanks,
  Robert

  • Hey Robert,

Since I was originally involved with launching the MSP432s, I'm 99% sure that this is Rev D silicon.  (I don't think we shipped any production parts without RevD silicon, just some pre-production test parts that would be label XMS432.)

I'll double-check with the systems and packaging teams to figure out why the markings don't match what's in the errata documentation.

In the mean time, the hardware revision is also stored in the MSP432 Info Memory as you can check there.  Table 6-86 shows where: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/msp432p401m.pdf

    Thanks,

    JD

  • Hey Robert,

I was able to confirm that this device is a Rev D device.

The internal team is investigating the inconsistency between the package marking and documentation and will make updates once more information is known.

    Thanks,

    JD
