I'm getting started with my Launchpad board and was going to use Grace to give me a head start.

I started by installing CCSv4 code size limited version from here:

Next I ran CCS and started following the instructions from here to install Grace:

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Grace_Installation

I used the appropriate URL for the code size limited CCS, and at the search results dialog I do not see Grace listed as the above web page shows.

I tried this last night on a Windows 7 (x64) host and today on a WinXP SP3 host with the same results..

Any idea on what I'm doing wrong?

I followed the steps here and was successful:

A key piece might be using this version of CCSv4:

So I am using CCS v4.2.1.00004.

I am not certain that the URL from the wiki is presenting Grace. The update search results

The thread you mention ends by pointing users to the wiki which is what I used.

Please compare my screenshot to the one from the wiki:

You see the grace product is not in my search results.

So I entered this URL into my browser:

http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_ccstudio/TargetContent/Updates/full/site.xml

I see no mention of Grace in there so did it get pulled or something?

Looking at the xml for the full CCS, it's a java jar which when downloaded and expanded contains pointers to Grace. The code limited URL contains no mentions of Grace at this time.

Humm, I can't reproduce the failure with CCS 4.2.1.00004. Can you verify that the Grace URL has been added as a new remote site?

Try navigating to the software updates again (Help->Software Updates->Find and Install ..., click "Search for new features" and Next) It should look something like:

Select the grace update site you've already added and click Edit ... You should see

The full URL is http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_ccstudio/grace.

Bingo! So my confusion was in step 3 of the wiki.

I think it should be broken down into 3, then 3a and 3b with 3a for full CCS specific steps and 3b for code limited CCS steps.

Based on your feedback, I updated the Wiki page (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Grace_Installation#To_Install_Grace) to try and make this more clear.
