CC430 Socket

I am hoping to work with one of the CC430 chips for it's built-in wireless capabilities. However, the chip design does not seem to be easy to incorporate into a custom PCB design. Is there a socket out there for either of the chip layouts that would make it easier to put into a PCB design of my own?

Depending on the exact size of the CC430 device that you plan on using I would take a look at the 'Data sheet' on the above webpage to make sure that the size of the socket will fit the device as far as length and width are concerned.

You can find the width and size of CC430 devices near the end of the device specific datasheet.

For example: http://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/cc430f5133 on page 116.

I however do not recommend that you use a socket because you are planning to use the wireless capabilites of the RF SoC which will not operate ideally inside of a socket.

It is best to keep line of sight for the wireless channel from the source to receiver.
