Why is the 8 MHz oscillator on the msp430FR6047 evaluation board not connected to the CPU?

    Hi Marty,

    In the project we provided, we used the internal DCO module to set the MCLK and SMCLK clocks, as well as the external XT1 32768Hz clock. Therefore, 8MHz crystal is nit connected, and customers can connect as needed.
