ZEZ430 Chronos

Color me stupid, but I can't seem to make heads or tails of the forum system on TI.

I just received my Chronos development kit and can't get the RF access point to work. Computer is Compaq notebook with Vista. RF Access point LED comes on briefly, then off. Control Center software starts, then says RF Access Point has been removed.

Checked Device Manager. Port is present and according to Device Manager, is working properly.

Any suggestions?

  • Hi Howard

Having similar problem before. I suggest you change the port of the RF access point (choose any port that not in use) you can do this in Device Manager. After that, remove the USB and plug it in again. Open the control center and it should work.

  • The connection is done through a virtual COM port.

Maybe you have a software installed that scans COM ports for a newly attached smartphone or such? It might interfere with the control center. Such software can even keep the control center from acessing the AP at all.
