Can the 6047 measure fluid levels of 24 inches or will I need a booster pack---thanks, Mike

Hi MIke,

It depends on the transducer excitation frequency. We have mostly worked with smaller residential pipes of size DN25 (25 mm diameter). But with 1 MHz transducer excitation frequency, it should be possible to use the MSP430FR6047 with a larger on-chip PGA gain setting with 24 inch diameter pipes.

Srinivas---Thanks for the quick reply---Maybe I did not explain clearly ---We want to measure the fluid level in a tank ---however your explanation seems to intimate that it will work---Thanks, Mike T

Hi Mike,

Your interpretation is correct. You should be able to use it for fluid level measurement as well.
