MSP430FR2522: About RF Susceptibility(EMC test)

Part Number: MSP430FR2522

Hello,

Regarding to RF Susceptibility(EMC test) on MSP430FR2522, my customer is asking some question.

They have tested RF conduction noise test but it had made false detection at around 2MHz noise input.

The sensor mode is self capacitance and Frequency Divider is f/4.

(Question)

1) According to Conducted RF Noise Test System section in CapTIvate ™ Technology Guide , the problem is described as following.

“If the noise is centered directly on the conversion frequency or its lower harmonics (+/- 50 kHz),

the measurement data will be corrupted positively and negatively.”

They think the if Frequency Divider is change, it will can be avoid from 2MHz noise. (f/4 -> f/16…..f/128)

Because of conversion frequency is sided from center of noise frequency.

Their understanding is correct?

If so, when conversion frequency is changed, what point should they consider as overall CapTIvate system?

(Is there any impact on CapTIvate system?)

2) According to CapTIvate™ MCU Solution section in CapTIvate ™ Technology Guide , Fig.98 is described as following.

The right and left bottom of the figure are the data after signal processing and the data after the CapTIvate signal processing shows

that the signal processing removes most of noise in the signal.

About signal processing,

Could you please explain about processing more detail?

The signal processing has in CapTIvate algorithm?  Or we need to something tool?
