    Hi, Yuan, 

    Could you help to check following items?

    1. Is the MSP430F5418 board powered correctly?  Please measure the power supply pins to confirm this. 
    2. Is the target device configured well? 
    3. Are you using the JTAG or SBW for MSP430F5418 debug/programming? Is this interface connected correctly to MSP430F5418?
