Hi everyone,

When I/O pin is assigned to serial communication and the direction is controlled by "eUSCI module", how should the "PxOUT", "PxDIR", and "PxREN" registers be set properly?

Is the initial setting optimal?

Hi, msp430fr6x7x_eusci_i2c / spi / uart_standard_transceiver.c in code example should be the reference. P2SEL0 and P2SEL1 will be used. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.

No description was found in the code example to set "PxOUT", "PxDIR", and "PxREN" for the pins set for serial communication with PxSEL0 and PxSEL1. In other words, is it acceptable to recognize that the default settings are optimal?

The REN resistors operate in some alternate function modes. Unless you have a specific reason, I recommend you leave the PxREN bits alone (=0).
