Hi Team,

A customer wants to use MSP-EXP430FR2433 and supplied with a supercapacitor. He wants to know the power consumption of the evaluation kit from the supercapacitor terminals.

    Customers can use the Energytrace tool integrated in CCS to monitor the real-time power consumption of the MSP-EXP430FR2433.

    Hi Johnson,

    The customer is interested with MSP-EXP430FR2433 but before he buy the evaluation module, he wants to know the power consumption if it will fit his application. The schematic diagram and other documents needs US Government export approval before he can download the files. Is there a way we can provide the power consumption before he buy the evaluation module?

    Hi Danilo,

    FR2433 MCU power consumption is related to the program executed by the MCU.

    The power consumption is different when entering different LPM modes.

    Therefore, I think that only customers can test the specific power consumption according to their actual code.

    PS:  The power consumption of MSP430, especially the FR series, should be top level in the MCU field.
