MSP430FR2355: Current consumption compares with MSP430F2274

Part Number: MSP430FR2355

Hello experts,

I got question active mode current consumption.
If I want to compare active mode current consumption between FR2355 and F2274, which parameter should I refer? 
The parameter "Active Mode Supply Current Excluding External Current" is good to compare the performance for fMCLK=1MHz case?

FR2355's datasheet

F2274's datasheet

From both of datasheet, depends on the use case, FR2355's current consumption is smaller for fMCLK=fSMCLK=1MHz.

And total current consumption performance is same scale (Not by an order of magnitude) between FR2355 and F2274.
Is my understanding correct?

    Yes.

    Yes.  In general the FR2355 and F2274 will be comparable under those conditions.  The FR2355 is a little more complicated due to the %HIT on the instruction cache, and depends a lot on how the code is optimized and structured, but from experience the power numbers will be roughly the same.
