We are planning to use MSP430FR2522IPW16 in one of our EMS project. We already have experience on TM4C series microcontrollers.
This is the first time we are going to use MSP430. Our requirement needs one I2C slave and four GPIOs. I have the following doubt.
1. It is mentioned in the datasheet as - "Clock supports frequencies up to 16 MHz". Whether we can achieve 16 Mhz with internal oscillator itself? If not, what is the maximum clock speed that can be achieved using the internal oscillator? If internal oscillator works at higher freq. , I am planning to use the XIN and XOUT pin as GPIOs.
2. We are planning to program the MSP430FR2522IPW16 with MSP-EXP430FR2433 eval. board. In the eval. board data sheet it is mentioned as - "The eZ-FET debug probe on the LaunchPad can interface to most MSP430 derivative devices". Is MSP430FR2522IPW16 one of them?
3. MSP-EXP430FR2433 eval. board uses SBWTDIO and SBWTCK for programming. Is that same as normal std. JTAG pins programming wise or is there any limitation on using this 2 wire method?
4. Is there any application level schematic example for MSP430FR2522IPW16 ?
