Hey there, I am having a problem with running my code. When I build the program, it is throwing errors and then when I try to debug it, it is giving me this error:

I don't know what's going on. I have been trying to fix all the problems MSP432 has for 2 months now, and I haven't done any of the assignments yet. The firmware is up to date. I have the launchpad plugged into my computer, and my computer recognizes that its a MSP432 xds110. So I have no idea what's going on with this. Week by week I have been getting frustrated.

It looks as though you encountered (1344) build errors, so the resulting load (.out) file wasn't created.

After you fix the errors, I expect it will act differently.

Ok so when I run the code, I get this error.

I think the problem is that the build is not recognizing my driverlib folder at all. I already created a pathway for it.

What device are you using? Your project appears to be configured for MSP432E401Y, but you're using the MSP432P4 driverlib.

Hi Joshua,

Check if you have WinAVR(used for AVR MCUs) installed in your PC previously in the same directory. I have experienced similar kind of errors which doesn't make any sense regarding the program but, it invokes conflicts in creating the .obj file in backend.

In "Build Settings->CCS General->Variant" use the drop-down list to check/change your device. I haven't tried switching from an E series to a P series, but I think it's supposed to work.
