MSP430F5519: MSP430 Multiple PIDs

Hi All

We use MSP430F5519 to build our own products and have applied one VID/PID via filling the form.

My question is: may we apply more than one PID?

We would like to have a series of product based on MSP430. If each product is assigned an unique PID,

Windows device manager display different products with different name. While all products use the same PID,

users see different product with same name in Windows device manager.

Hey Vincent,

You can apply for more than one PID. How many are you expecting? I'm not sure if there is a hard limit for how many PID's, but as long as it's reasonable you shouldn't have any issues.

The use for a PID is covered in the MSP430 USB Software Design Guide (section 5.2.1), so you only need a new PID for each new product line you release.
