Hello,

I have several questions about Ultrasonic Sensing Measurement of EVM430-FR6047.

①As you can see from the attached photo, variety of transducers range is different.

which value is correct? (50kHz or 130kHz)

URL is following,

②The Link below is written as “3V drive capabilities for transducers using standard MCU voltage levels”.

Is this sentence mean MCU voltage level converts Voltage that transducer can deal with?

③When propagation time measure from the received wave, is there a lower threshold voltage of receive wave?

④What is the minimum flow rate that can be detected?

rgds,

Koki Tamai

  • Hi Koki,

    1. 130kHz - 2.5MHz is right. However, it needs certain HSPLL frequency settings to reach down to 130kHz.

    2. It means the MCU excitation signal level is 3V, and this volts can work on most of the transducers.

    3. There is one threshold setting in the advance configuration.

    4. I would say the min flow rate we can detect is lower than 0.1LPH. And the min flow rate we can measure 1LPH (with +-50%error, based on the conditions)

  • Hello, Cash Hao

Thank you for your prompt response.

    2. It means the MCU excitation signal level is 3V, and this volts can work on most of the transducers.

    >The standard voltage of the MCU can be adjusted to 3V or less for transducers, right ?

    3. There is one threshold setting in the advance configuration.

    >Does the advance configuration mean Envelop Crossing Threshold of Advanced Parameters in USS Design Center?

    Koki

  • Hello Cash Hao,

    Do you have any update?

    Best Regards

    Koki

  • Hi Koki,

    Sorry for the late response.

    2. The supply voltage for the MCU is a range between 2.2V to 3.6V for a USS application.

    3. Yes.

    Best regards,

    Cash Hao
