For a new project we're looking into integrating into a single MCU an MSP430F5132IDA and MSP430G2553IPW20, this is based on 2 reference deign we want to use TIDA-010042 and TIDA-00449, plus a few extra GPIO for some other analog measurements. The question is what will be the best option to run both, keeping the low power and sw compatibility. On my search for different options I leant towards MSP430FR59x series. What do recommend, any other suggestion?

Yes, the FR59x series is a fine choice. Do you have any limitations on the package type?

Not really, in fact I was looking at high pin count device to implement future controls.

Hi Dennis,

I think the best option for us will be: MSP430FR59691.

Will the launchpad be enough for evaluation?. I have a MSP-FET430UIF, will it work or I need a different JTAG adapter?

Hi Ermanno,

Yes, and the launchpad has a programmer built in so you don't need the MSP-FET.
