Hi Team '430,
Are there any Software Examples (proper device/register setup, etc) for using the F5528/USB in a system W/O 5VDC.. W/ VUSB powered from an external 3.3VDC supply?
Thanks, Merril

There is nothing "special" related to using 5528 USB with external 3.3V supply. I think that software part is covered by TI USB device stack. There is GUI for code setup and maybe there is option for external / internal reg selection.
For hardware part, there is 5529 LP, master FET or target part, whatever, powered by 3.3V dedicated (not internal) regulator.
Hi Zrno,
Well, for example.. if an external 3.3VDC is used/connected to the VUSB pin, the internal 3.3VDC LDO must be disabled (via register bit VUSB_EN). That is kind of "special" and different.
So, thanks, but I'd like to hear from a TI'er (on the MSP430 team) WRT all the required settings hardware/software for using an externally supplied 3.3VDC VUSB.. and whether we have a code example available for this.
Thanks, Merril
