MSP430FR2476: Only 32KB available

Hi team,

Can you have a look into this customer inquiry about available memory?

MSP430FR2476 has 64kB FRAM according to the datasheet, but according to the IDE you can only use 32kB to flash the program code. Is there a way to flash more than just 32kB of program code? I need to include an external library that is 26kB and it still includes the Math library, which causes the entire program to be larger than 32kB.

32KB of the FRAM is in upper memory so requires that the code be compiled with the large model (20 bit addresses).

I have no idea. The documentation for the IDE you mentioned should tell you.

I don't use any IDE but use the gcc tools and that requires using the compiler switch "-mlarge" to use long addresses.

For CCS, use "Build Settings->CCS Build->Compiler->Processor Options".

An individual section can't be split over the "divide". This isn't usually a problem since each function is its own section. A very large "const" array might cause trouble.
