MSP430G2453: Questions about 430 device

Part Number: MSP430G2453

Hi Expert,

Could you please help me with the below two questions asked by My customer? Thanks!

  • as the below figure shown, what's the meanings/difference of "note1" & "note2"?
  • there's abnormal phenomenon  during the IO pin output high voltage, which low voltage appears randomly &  last for 11ms. If this issue is caused by chip reset, is that because the IO drives ability is too weak? And how to debug this issue?

Thanks for your supporting!

Best Regards

Rayna

  • Hi Rayna,

    1. For the datasheet download from website, there is only note 2. That means, the total output current for all GPIO should not exceed +-48mA, in order to meet the VCC-0.3V, VCC+0.3V spec.

    2. Here is my questions:

    • How low the voltage will be? 0V?
    • Does you change the configuration of IO? Like from UART to GPIO.
    • In Rest condition, the GPIO will be set as input.
    • How large is the series register?
    • I think you need to make sure the condition of the MCU, you can try to test it in debug mode.

    Eason
