MSP430FR2476: What is the condition of each device pins from power up to reset release?

Part Number: MSP430FR2476
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR2676

Hi Team,

What is the condition of each device pins from power up to reset release?

What is the condition of each device pins if VCC is supplied with a voltage below the minimum operating voltage of the device?

Thanks and Best regards,

Kuerbis

  • Hi Kuerbis,

The MSP430 GPIO pins are "inputs" while the device is held in reset.  After release from reset the pins will assume the state they were configured prior to the reset.

Now, if VCC drops below the SVS- (supply voltage supervisor lower threshold), the device will enter BOR (brown out reset) mode and will stay in this mode until VCC reaches ~ 0.1v.

For more information about the BOR and power supply sequencing, refer to the MSP430FR2676 datasheet, section 5.1.1.1.

    Does this help?
