MSP430FR5994: LPM3 - Low power mode current is too high

Part Number: MSP430FR5994
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-EXP430FR5994, ENERGYTRACE

Hello,

I work with the MSP-EXP430FR5994 demo board. It works fine so fare, but when I try to set it into the LPM3 (or LPM4) mode, the current consumption is fare too high (140uA in LPM3 and 100uA in LPM4).

For the tests, I used directly the unchanged TI demo software package with the files like "msp430fr599x_lpm... .c". The compiling and the flashing of the source code is done with ccs version 10. On the demo board, I removed all the jumpers, except GND and 3,3V, while during the power consumption measure. No other external components are connected to the MSP-EXP430FR5994 demo board.

But it is not possible to reduce the power consumption to the expected values of the datasheet. Have someone occurred a similar problem? What might be the solution to this problem?

Thank you for your help.
