Hello team,

we are using MSP430FR2355 for our project. shall we connect crystal oscillator as clock source or crystal? how can we connect crystal oscillator?

    If what you have is an external crystal oscillator -- a single chip containing a crystal, capacitors and an oscillator circuit  -- you should connect it as an "external oscillator" or "clock": Bring its (one) signal into XIN and set XT1BYPASS=1. 

    If what you have is an external crystal -- a bare crystal -- you should connect it as an "external crystal" with external load capacitors and use the MCU's (internal) oscillator circuit: Bring its (two) signals into XIN and XOUT and set XT1BYPASS=0.
